More on Little Brother
So i completed the book as everyone else has. I have to say again it was an amazing book. i have to tell you all that my first thoughts of reading the book weren't very good. I'm not very fond of surveillance of society. When Scott first brought it up i thought great reading this book is going to be absolutely fantastic if you didn't notice that was definitely sarcasm and a lot of it. Anyway as I was saying the idea of the government watching our every move isn't very appealing to me. It honestly upsets me the thought of nothing be a secret, the whole world watching; really really just pisses me off. Don't agree? Anyway, when i started the book I was not not not fond of it at ALL! But after reading the first few chapters I must that I feel in love with the book; it's awesome. Completely amazing!! That's all there is to say about it. I'm completely satisfied that I got the opportunity and privilege to read this book. My favorite thing about the book is that it's available online the complete full text. You don't have to spend 50 dollars on a book that you'll read once and you don't have to borrow a copy from the teacher. It's awesome! But anyway if you haven't read this book you absolutely have to read it. See you don't even have to buy it all you have to do is go on the website. So til next time peace out everyone!!!

Little Brother
Hello everyone. So I'm reading Little Brother and I absolutely love the book. I really like how it mixes the idea of surveillance and as always a love story. Marcus finds a girl and in the end they are together, of course. In the beginning, Darryl even has a huge crush on Van. Little Brother is a fantastic book that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. If you haven't read it or finished it, you absolutely must. It's awesome. It has such a good mix of all aspects of life. I like the book so much that I will probably read it multiple times, which I usually don't because I hate reading!

Hey everyone, its been awhile since I've wrote. I've been so stressed out that I almost completely forgot about this thing. So here's whats been going on the last week or so. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I discovered that his car is officially broken down for a long time. It suddenly blew a head gasket with out any warning or signs of something going wrong. If you don't know, blowing a head gasket happens after your car badly over heats, so the warning sign should at least A. be the temperature gauge going into the red zone not just staying normal or B. the check engine light should come on. So anyway nothing happened and it overheated while in a turn lane. So now we're down to one car to take me and my daughter to school and him and myself to work. It's horrible. Now, his car is an import, Mazda Miata, so do fix all this is going to take about $1000; we definitely don't have that kind of money to throw around. So let's see what else has happen the past few weeks. My daughter is now sick with a cough and apparently some allergies. She hasn't had school all week which in a way is good because it gives her time to get better but it also makes it hard on me in the mornings because i have to find people to watch her while I'm at school. Anyway, with her being sick I've already had to miss out on two days of work and some sleep. On to a different subject, how was everyone's fall break? Mine as you can tell was alright not the best or the worst ever. I has court Thursday over some absolute bullshit that wasn't even settled so I have to go back, STUPID! Well that enough for now. Peace out everyone!

So, I finally decided on what to do my paper on. I'm writing about the burning of an American flag and how it effects us as Americans, court cases on it and other things. Did you all know that it is actually NOT illegal to burn the American flag even for an American. Congress decided that making burning of the American illegal is a violation of our fist amendment which if you don't know it freedom of speech and self expression. I think this is absolutely outrageous. What do you all think about burning the American flag, should it be illegal or legal?

UPDATE: on Derek
Hey guys, so I went and seen Derek today. He is going great. They have transferred him to Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center in Fort Sanders Hospital. If you don't know, this is a fantastic rehabilitation center. They have told Derek that he will be out in two to three weeks, which is amazing considering like two weeks ago he was still in a hospital bed hooked up to all kinds of tubes and IVs and unable to move very well. Today, he is actually TALKING. His voice is still raspy because his tonsils are still too far apart. Derek is now walking some and pushing himself in a wheelchair. We officially know now that he recognizes people and remembers things. He said that he didn't remember anything that happened at UT hospital. He said the only thing he remembered was my daughter, Lexi, being there and her being kind of scared of him. He even apologized for scaring her. I told him he had nothing to be sorry about. I thought it was really sweet, though. His eye is still a little droopy, and he said that that side of his face is still numb. He also said his legs were numb, as well. I think that it is pretty amazing that he can walk with his legs being numb. I know from experience that when my foot goes to sleep, I definitely can't walk at all. I'm just so amazed at his determination and will power to walk and recover. So, Derek wanted to go outside; my boyfriend and I took out him to this little place for patients. It had kind of a mini basketball court; Derek stood up and shot the basketball. He got it in, too! So, I want to thank everyone who helped me pray for him. Thank you guys so much. The prayers have definitely helped tremendously! In two weeks, Derek has came from being almost in a vegetable state to being fully alert, talking, and able to walk a little. Thank you all so much, again. I'll keep you posted on updates

I need everyone's help, PLEASE

Hello everyone, the picture is of a friend of mine, Derek Williams, with his daughter. Well about a month ago Derek was in a terrible one car accident on the way the school that caused fluids to leak from his brain stem. This traumatic brain injury left him in a coma for over a week and he is still in the hospital. Derek is as right now still unable to speak; he recognizes faces and can hold your hand. He is also able to eat real food now instead of using a feeding tube. The doctors have no idea why Derek isn't recovering. So I ask you all this, will you PLEASE help me, his family, my own, and many others pray for him. I'm not asking for money or sympathy, all I ask is that you pray to who ever you worship whether it be God, Jesus, or some else that his young man get better. Oh yeah, Derek is 19 with a baby girl, as you seen, and was going to automotive school. He has such a great future ahead of him please help me pray for him. I went and saw him Saturday; I almost burst in to tears as soon as I walked in the room and my eyes water up with every word I type. He looked so small and pitiful laying there. I brought my daughter, Lexi, with me and Derek turned over and tried to hug her , but all the IVs and cords hooked up to him scared Lexi. She jerked away. Then, Derek waved at her; it broke my heart. At least this time Lexi waved back! So again, I ask you all to please just keep Derek in your prayers. 10 seconds of prayer could save his life. Please help me, and thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this

Hey guys, so I officially get to go to my first UT football game ever next weekend. I'm so excited. Even though we are just playing Ohio state the experience is going to be amazing. So anyway, hows everyone's weekend so far? Are you even out of bed yet? Well today, I get the pleasure of going to my mom's house and watching the Florida game. I absolutely love football but going to my parent's house isn't very thrilling considering I don't live there anymore. But whatever, might as well make the most of it. I get free food (LOL) and get to actually watch the game instead of listening to it on the radio. We don't have our cable hooked up yet in the apartment. Well, anyway, I was just really bored and thought I'd type something up. Have a great weekend and if anyone went to the game have an awesome time.
